![]() This Baby's Breath photograph is what made me very glad to opt for a longer lens this summer (2020), in order to explore the shallow depth of field (DOF) - the blured background. These small "dots like" flowers stands out even stronger with the blurred backgroung and I think it enhances the small flowers delicacy. We have many of these flowers in the park near home where I go for my photographs but I don't have them in the photographs I took last year. The reason is because last year I used a wide angle lens and such small flowers appear too small in a wide angle image, and the depth of field is not as strong and beautiful as it is with the longer lens I used this year. It makes a very hard decision choice on what lens to choose and effect to go after because I love both of them. But it looks like I have hangout more often with my tele-lens if I want obtain more results with such small flowers. Flower Names: Baby's Breath; Bachelor's Button; Babysbreath Family: Caryophyllaceae. Genus: Gypsophila. Species: Gypsophilia paniculata L. Region: Predominant in Europe. Color:White.
