This time I had to use filters because the days are brighter and for the snow shots. So I checked in my bag where I save things I don't use often, like some kind of filters. There I found a Cokin P161 red filter despite it light orange look.
I remember I bought the P161 because it was very cheap but I didn't use since then. I thought the pure Red filter was better for my landscape photos and yellow for portrait.
The Cokin P161 is a Polacolour filtar, it means it is a Polarising filter and colour filter in one,
Since I was doing this test on pushing Kentmere 400, I thought it would be a good opportunity to also see the P161 results. So I used it sometimes together with a neutral grey filter and sometimes it alone. And here are the results.
In some of the shots the grain was very fine but i some others it was very accentuate and I am not sure why. It doesn't matter anyway because I actually enjoy accentuated grain.
I started using Kentmere for street photography because of the price, but after all the test I made with it, first pushing at ISO 800, then at ISO 1600 and now at 3200, I actually am enjoying it more than any other negative for street and casual shots.
Now I wonder if it is worth try shooting it at 6400 just to see what I get. Something to think about to maybe try later on.
