What really matters is the relation between the image and the viewer. Nothing matters before understand this relation.
Many people expect a deep meaning or a sentimental message when talk about art in general. Therefore they look at works trying to find this deep meaning, message or what may have different on it.
Somebody asked me once what I am saying with "this" photograph? Usually this question is for the public find a reason to give attention and appreciation to the work. My answer was: "I don't know yet. Look at it and If you find out let me know, please".
For this reason, my goal is not to giving reasons and make the viewer look at my photographs. What I want is to make my photographs look at the viewer. And the viewer look back to the photograph as a response. As if there was somebody look at them and they look back to see who is observing them.
What I want is to make the viewer search for the eyes in my photograph and dialogue with it.
