Form is not distinct from content, it is not an accessory. Works of art are not their isolated content. The approach people have about art as content to be interpreted, justified, lead to the fallacy that art is what has something to say; its supposed meaning that is used by people to give merit to works of art. For this reason people look for as many meaning in an art as possible. It turns art into an utilitarian object, an article for use, to transmit a message. But art is not justifiable. Art is rhythmic and patterns ("form") that induce contemplation; a dynamic contemplation which demand us to focus on our senses. The perception of repetition is what makes art intelligible. A work of art is not about something; it's something. Art is not a commentary about something in the world but a thing in the world.
